Vocational School № 87 was established by the order of the Regional Department of Education on August 24, 1990 № 946 in accordance with the proposal of the Executive Committee of the Sofia Council on the basis of the branch of Shchorsky SPTU № 71, which was established in 1983 in Sofiyivka, in 1995 - renamed Vocational School №87, and already in 2008 - renamed the Sofia Professional Lyceum.

НАБІР В 2024 РОЦІ ЗДІЙСНЮЄТЬСЯ на базі 9 класу ЗА ПРОФЕСІЯМИ безкоштовно, за рахунок регіонального замовлення:
- Офісний службовець (бухгалтерія). Секретар керівника (організації, підприємства, установи);
- Тракторист-машиніст сільськогосподарського виробництва категорії А1. Водій автотранспортних засобів категорії С.
