Tetyana Hryhorivna Demyanenko, Deputy Director for Educational Work, is responsible for the organization of work on social protection of children of the Sofia Vocational Lyceum.
In its activities, the teaching staff of Sofia Vocational Lyceum pays considerable attention to issues of social protection of students and the creation of appropriate living conditions for them. Material support and social protection of students is carried out in accordance with current legislation: Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine № 226 of 05.04.1994 "On improving the upbringing, education, social protection and material security of orphans and children deprived of parental care" as amended in accordance with the Resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers № 433, 1381, 868); Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine № 565 of August 18, 1994 on the procedure for full state maintenance and provision of free meals and scholarships to students of state vocational schools ”; (as amended by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers № 150 of 15.02.2006; by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine № 541 of 05.04.1999 "On approval of the procedure for granting concessional travel…" (as amended by the PKM № 1192 of 08.09.2004), governed by the Constitution and laws of Ukraine, Decrees of the President of Ukraine, decisions of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and education authorities of all levels on education and upbringing of students; rules and regulations of labor protection, safety and fire safety, as well as the Lyceum Charter (including Rules of Procedure, orders and orders of the Director), complies with the provisions of the Convention on the Rights of the Child and child protection regulations.

The lyceum has a social passport of the educational institution, which is kept by the deputy director for educational work, the information of which is constantly updated by masters of industrial training and class teachers.
Pursuant to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine “On the Procedure for Full State Maintenance and Provision of Free Meals and Scholarships to Students of State Vocational Educational Institutions” of August 18, 1994, Article 25 of the Law of Ukraine “On Ensuring Organizational and Legal Conditions for Social Protection of Orphans and Children Deprived parental care "from 13.01.2005 № 2342 ‑ IV, p.p. 8, 13 of the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers "On improving the education, training, social protection and material security of orphans and children deprived of parental care" from 05.04.1994 № 226 in the lyceum organized four meals a day for orphans and children deprived of parental care, who are on full state support and one-time (lunch) for students who have guardians. Children in this category eat 100%.
The Sofia Vocational Lyceum keeps records and constantly updates the lists of children of privileged categories:
- orphans and children deprived of parental care - 10;
- children with disabilities - 2;
- children from large families - 16;
- children from single-parent families - 26.

Medical examinations of students of privileged categories are carried out annually according to the schedule. The lyceum employee constantly monitors the state of health and the schedule of medical examinations of students who are on the dispensary register.

All students of privileged categories are provided with a scholarship and receive financial assistance from the scholarship fund of the lyceum. To consider the issue of scholarships, awards and financial assistance by order of the director of the lyceum established a scholarship commission, which in its work is guided by the provisions on scholarships, financial assistance and bonuses for students of Sofia Vocational Lyceum.

All students are provided with a dormitory free of charge for the period of study.

The hostel is designed to accommodate 55 people. All necessary living conditions are created, available: rooms for 2 and 3 people, TV, shower, toilet, hygiene room, self-training rooms.
